Prior match play experience. Minimum 3.5 on the NTRP scale. Allen Gowin, Head Pro of at Jeff Adams Tennis Center, has enjoyed the sport since he was 10 years old. His junior career consistently resulted in Top 10 state rankings, Top 20 sectional rankings, and competitions at the national level resulting in national rankings. He won multiple NC Closed State Championships as well as 3 consecutive team state championships at Fort Mill High School in SC. After an exhausting junior schedule, Allen decided to accept an academic scholarship at the University of South Carolina in Columbia and take a break from competitive tennis. After several years of teaching with Netresults Tennis in Brookline MA, Allen saw the opportunity for growth in municipal tennis and decided to return to Charlotte, NC. He believes that providing affordable, high quality programming via USPTA certified pros at municipal facilities is the best way to grow and introduce the game to everyone. His passion is not only to introduce the game to beginners, and improve the games of advanced players, but to provide an atmosphere that values fun and exercise to promote a healthy lifestyle.
